Noble Intent?

Requests for increased communication and greater transparency were ignored. Emails sent identified problems and provided potential solutions. No responses, no feedback until…

“You should assume noble intent,” she said, her face tight and her voice thick with irritation. “Deciding not to update you people on everything we’re doing does not indicate that we’re sitting around doing nothing. I’m here because I’m extremely competent and have demonstrated the ability to lead, If you hear nothing, accept that as a message in and of itself.”

Assume noble intent. The take-away: when you assume, you do make an ass of ‘u’ and ‘me’.
